
ACHIEVE is a statewide, virtual Pre-ETS program designed for students with disabilities, ages 14 to 21. This program is available to those enrolled in an educational program who are eligible or potentially eligible for Employment and Independence for People with Disabilities (EIPD) services and have a recognized need for Pre-Employment Transition Services. ACHIEVE is accessible to students in various educational settings, including those who are homeschooled, or enrolled in traditional public schools, charter schools, virtual schools, private schools, early college programs, vocational schools, college courses, or training programs. The ACHIEVE Transition Program offers a comprehensive curriculum designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge they need for successful transitions from school to work and into adult life.

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS
- Eligibility: Students aged 14–21 with documented disabilities, including those on IEPs or 504 plans, enrolled in various educational settings such as public, private, charter, virtual, or home schools.

- Delivery Mode: Entirely virtual, ensuring accessibility across all 100 North Carolina counties.
- Program Duration: Courses run for 12-16 weeks, meeting once a week for one hour.
- Class Size: Small group sessions with a maximum of 10 students to ensure personalized attention.

NC Division of Services for the Blind (DSB)
Offers specialized Pre-ETS for students with visual impairments, including self-advocacy training, postsecondary counseling, and work-based learning experiences.
Employment and Independence for People with Disabilities (EIPD)
Formerly known as Vocational Rehabilitation, EIPD funds and oversees Pre-ETS statewide, helping students with disabilities prepare for employment and independence.
