Postitive Behavior Interventions and Supports

Behavior is a big concern for every parent.  You may hear the term Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports or PBIS.    For children whose behavior gets in the way of learning, interferes with making friends or building relationships or accessing their environment, behavior can be addressed on the IEP.

This section of the website is for families who have children with deaf-blindness and are concerned about behavior.  While we populate this section, be sure to check out other PBIS resources on the ECAC website.

In the meantime, if you have questions or concerns, please call a NC Deaf-Blind Project Family Specialist.
