Anastacia Newton

Anastacia Newton joined ECAC in 2022 as a Parent Educator. Previously, she worked as an Exceptional Children's teacher for preschoolers with special needs. She became interested in working with students with special needs early on when her sister was diagnosed with dyslexia and ADHD and later Autism. She began learning as much as she could about best practices for teaching students with various abilities and obtained her Master’s degree in Special Education from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte followed by an additional degree in Early Childhood Inclusion from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Shortly after obtaining this degree, her own son was born with complex needs, requiring early intervention services. In her spare time, Anastacia enjoys reading, painting, and spending time with her son.
