FREE WEBINAR: Creating Inclusive Housing Opportunities for Adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities
As children with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) grow into adulthood, many families find themselves asking: What comes next? One of the most urgent and complex parts of that answer is housing and independent living. Planning for the future means ensuring that our loved ones have safe, inclusive, and supportive places to live as they enter adulthood.
In this webinar, Laura Wells, Executive Director of HOPE NC, will explore how inclusive housing models are being developed and implemented across North Carolina to meet this need. Participants will learn what inclusive housing is, why it matters, and how it helps individuals with IDD thrive in communities where they are valued and supported.
Laura will also share how HOPE NC is working to change policy and increase funding for inclusive housing and how families, especially parents, can be powerful partners in this advocacy.
