APPLICATION OPEN! STAR Program
Do you wonder what’s next for your student with disabilities?
Are you looking to prepare them for a post-high school transition?
The STAR program offers Pre-ETS*training services including 1) job and career exploration, 2) self-advocacy training, and 3) workplace readiness training. Classes meet virtually, once a week for 9 weeks outside of the school schedule.
The STAR Program is open to high school students (ages 14 - 22) from all N.C. counties. Students with disabilities enrolled in the Future-Ready Course of Study (FRC), Occupational Course of Study (OCS), ExtendedContentStandards (ECS), or have a 504 plan are eligible. The STAR program serves students who attend public schools, charter schools, private schools, virtual schools, and homeschools.
There is no application deadline. Classes are offered throughout the year. To apply, complete the application and School Information and Verification Form. You will need to download and save the forms before filling them out. Once completed, email to: starprogram@ecacmail.org.
