2022 Family Leadership Summit: Ready, Set, LEAD!
The Exceptional Children's Assistance Center (ECAC) is excited to host our second Family Leadership Summit on June 3rd & 4th, 2022 at the McKimmon Center in Raleigh. The title of this year's summit is "Ready, Set, LEAD! Leadership • Empowerment • Advocacy • Development". Everyone has leadership skills. This summit supports the development of these skills for leaders working on the individual level to the national level. If you are a family member of a child or youth with a disability, ages birth-26, and want to learn more leadership skills, this summit is for you! We offer sessions on individual leadership skills, supporting other families, improving the systems that serve families and youth, and influencing policies through advocacy. The audience will also include early childhood professionals who serve on their Local Interagency Coordinating Councils (LICCs) to support family engagement and leadership on LICCs! Connect with other families, learn new content and work to create fair and equitable systems for all children and youth with disabilities.
