Vanessa Lucero

Vanessa Lucero joined ECAC in 2026 as a Parent Educator and PreETS Transition Coach. She has experience working as an Exceptional Children's teacher with students that have special needs across various K-12 grades and academic settings and experience as a Care Manager working with tailored plans and supporting individuals with disabilities getting the support they need through programs offered by the state and within the community. She studied at University of North Carolina at Charlotte and obtained her Bachelor's and Master's in Special Education. Vanessa moved to Charlotte in 2012 from Miami, Florida where she grew up. She often spends her free time with her husband and two cats, they spend a lot of time reading or going on day trips around the Carolinas and like to go kayaking or ride their bikes on the greenways around the city.
