Sharon Hopper

Sharon Hopper joined ECAC in 2026 as a Parent Educator. Previously, she worked as a teacher, district leader, and in senior leadership for educational nonprofits and publishing companies. Sharon became interested in working with students with special needs as a new teacher, noticing how some students needed more support than she felt equipped to provide. With a thirst for knowledge she began learning as much as possible about early literacy and supporting all students. She applied the learning to her classroom and then became a district and national leader for training teachers. Sharon’s work became even more personal as her own daughter faced learning challenges and she navigated the complexities of parenting a student who learns differently. When not working for ECAC Sharon enjoys working with her husband directing community and regional theatrical productions.
