SUMMARY:Free Webinar: Why Children Might Struggle to Read
DESCRIPTION:Why Children Might Struggle to Read, reviews evidence-based information on why children might struggle to read. Families will learn about reading instruction and will better understand if their children are receiving effective reading practices in school. Finally, families will learn ways to support and monitor their children’s language and reading development.\nJoin us for this free webinar presented by Dr. Beth McLean with the National Center on Improving Literacy.\nFunded by the U.S. Department of Education, NCIL is a partnership led by Boston University’s Wheelock College of Education and Human Development, along with Florida State University and RMC Research Corporation. Together, they serve as a comprehensive national resource center dedicated to advancing evidence-based teaching methods for pre-K through grade 12 students with literacy-related disabilities, including dyslexia.\nNCIL supports families, educators, and education agencies by providing free, practical tools and professional learning grounded in the best available research. Using a multi-tiered approach, they help schools and communities screen, identify, and effectively teach pre-K through grade 12 students with reading difficulties.\nCLICK HERE TO REGISTER ( https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/5617616680221/WN_ngnGtS_gROi1cs8cwGpwSg )\n
