Our special education laws give important rights to parents as well as students. This workshop reviews the rights that parents have at each step of the special education process and how those rights can benefit your child.
Learning Objectives for Participants:
- Be able to state at least two times when schools must give parents written notice of their special education rights.
- Identify key points in the special education process when parent consent is required.
- Describe several ways to handle special education disagreements.
