ECAC is looking for a person who is mission driven with a head for numbers. The Business Manager oversees all aspects of a nonprofit business office with funds in excess of $2M. Home office is located in north Mecklenburg County.

Job duties include:


  • Budget development and financial reporting for Executive Director, Board of Directors and Project Managers
  • Contract budget development, financial reporting, invoicing and file maintenance for various grants
  • Accounts Receivable – Create, send invoices and required reports, follow up on payments
  • Investment and banking relationships
  • Assist with analysis of payroll and staffing plans including effect on operational allocations
  • Prepare financials, answer and assist Auditor on A-133 yellow book audit
  • Develop accounting policy and procedures
  • Monthly allocations
  • Monitor insurance and workers comp policies
  • Uniform Guidance – Stay up to date with and make sure ECAC is compliant


  • QuickBooks for Nonprofits
  • Excel


  • Inventory
  • Preserves contract and subcontract agreements
  • Maintains necessary state forms
  • Anything directed a/o requested by Supervisor


  • 3 Years Non Profit Accounting experience
  • Federal and State Grant Management

Hours: 40 hours per week
Salary: $55,000 - $62,000 depending on qualifications and experience
