Position Title: Part Time Career Coach
The STAR program is a virtual Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) program for students with disabilities. The STAR program delivers curriculum to students ages 14-21 to support a smooth transition from high school to either work, technical training or school. The Career Coach will deliver lesson plans virtually to students enrolled in Pre-ETS STAR Program. Reports directly to the Lead Career Coach. This position qualifies as
fully remote with occasional in-person staff meetings.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER
- Ensure lesson plans are appropriate for students with disabilities ages 14-21
- Deliver lessons virtually to a cohort of students with disabilities ages 16-21
- Participates as a member of the STAR Planning Team
- Work collaboratively with the Lead Career Coach and other team members
TECHNOLOGY
- Enter data in Setworks and Salesforce with accuracy and timeliness
- Proficient in Zoom, Google Meets and Google Suites
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- A degree in Special Education preferred
- 2 years’ experience teaching high school students
- Ability to work independently
- Minimum of one year experience with online teaching preferred
OTHER
- Ability to lift, on occasion, up to 20 pounds
- Maintain a current driver’s license and insurance
- Must be able to work some nights and weekends as needed
- Preference given to a parent/guardian of children with a disability or special health care needs and persons with disabilities
Hours: 20 hours per week
Salary: $23.00/hour
