NC Governor Beverly Purdue proclaims
October 2009 as
Parent Involvement Month!

Governor Beverly Eaves Purdue has proclaimed October 2009 as "Parent Involvement Month" in North Carolina. The Exceptional Children's Assistance Center (ECAC), which includes the North Carolina Parent Information and Resource Center (NC PIRC), and the North Carolina Parent Training and Information Center (NC PTI), the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NC DPI) and the North Carolina Parent Teacher Association (NCPTA) join with the Governor to celebrate the year round contributions made by parents and the educators who value the critical role of parents in student achievement.
