ECAC is all about Parent Education! Since the beginning in 1983 ECAC has been committed to "improving the lives and education of children" by providing parents with the knowledge and skills to become their child's best advocate. ECAC's parent education programs are designed to meet the needs of parents and families, young children and students, educators and other professionals.

ECAC's Parent Education Programs include:

• The NC Parent Training and Information Center Project (PTI) - serving parents and families with children with disabilities

• The NC Parent Information and Resource Center (PIRC) - for families students and educators in Title 1 schools

• The NC Family-to-Family Health Information Center (HIC) - for families with children who have special health care needs

• NC State Improvement Project - working with state and local educators to provide information and materials to families on literacy, behavior, writing and mathematics

• Behavior and Reading Improvement Center (BRIC) - evaluating school-wide programs designed to prevent behavior and reading problems

• Bridging the Gap - providing information to families of children (birth – 3) in the hospital
