Parent Technical Assistance Center (RPTAC)

Map of USA showing states included in Alliance Region 3ECAC serves as the Regional Parent Technical Assistance Center for Parent Training and Information Centers (PTIs) and Community Parent Resource Centers (CPRC) funded by the US Department of Education, Office of Special Education Programs. As a part of the national Technical Assistance Alliance for Parent Centers, ECAC provides services to15 centers in 8 states, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands.

REGION 3 Technical Assistance Center Services

  • Provides information, resources, and support to the center Directors and staff
  • Offers individual and group technical assistance in content areas such as non profit management, effective practices, family center practices, and outreach to underserved communities
  • Provides training opportunities designed to provide participants with a Certificate of Non-Profit Management in five years
  • Disseminates information through mailings, conference calls, and a newsletter
  • Conducts an annual regional conference

The Annual Regional Conference is scheduled to be held June 24-27, 2008 in Florida. This will be a combined conference for Regions 2 & 3.
