The Alliance (Technical Assistance ALLIANCE for Parent Centers) provides technical assistance through a variety of services to the nation's 106 Parents Centers – statewide Parent Training and Information Centers (PTI) and Community Parent Resource Centers (CPRC). Parents Centers provide individual assistance to parents and families with children who have disabilities.
There are 6 Regional Parent Technical Assistance Centers called RPTACs, and a national coordinating office. ECAC is home to 2 RPTACs – Region 2 and Region 3.
Region 2 includes: Delaware, District of Columbia, Kentucky, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia. Visit our Region 2 page.
Region 3 includes: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Puerto Rico, Texas and Virgin Islands. Visit our Region 3 page.
RPTACs, like the Parent Centers, are funded under IDEA through the US Department ECAC, Office of Special Education Programs.

Did you know that ECAC has been the NC Parent Training and Information Center (PTI) since 1983?
